With a distinctive top finish, tone-enhancing bracing and a beloved tonewood pairing, the Next Generation 814ce LTD is a surprising take on Taylor's classic flagship guitar that should entice collectors and discerning players alike. This Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric boasts a one-of-a-kind metallic top color we've dubbed Casablanca Beige Metallic, a sparkling champagne-hued treatment inspired by a classic Porsche color from the late 1970s that reveals shifting shades of pale gold depending on the lighting and viewing angle. In terms of the playing experience, this model fits into our Next-Gen family with scalloped V-Class bracing, an Action Control Neck and Claria electronics, all of which complement the rosewood/spruce tonewood pairing that players love for its lush, blooming overtone character, cross-spectrum balance and top-end clarity, all with a touch of additional warmth and resonance from the lightweight interior voicing. Visual details to complement the custom top color include a firestripe pickguard, a smoky ebony fretboard, smoked nickel tuning machines, a green abalone rosette, maple body binding with black/maple/rosewood top edge trim, mother-of-pearl Windansea inlays, and a full-body gloss finish.
All instruments from Music Makers are professionally evaluated and set-up in our historic Galesburg, IL. storefront prior to shipping.
