The Spector 50th Anniversary SB-1 Walnut is an exclusive, New York Custom Shop handcrafted bass designed to commemorate five decades of legendary craftsmanship by reissuing Stuart Spector’s original mid-1970s Brooklyn design. Limited to a tiny production run (one of only 15 walnut examples), this neck-through instrument features solid walnut body wings that deliver a rich, warm tone with focused lows and articulate mids, paired with a 3-piece maple neck and a smooth Pau Ferro fingerboard.
Faithfully capturing the vintage aesthetic with a matching walnut headstock, it boasts premium components including a single, thick-sounding DiMarzio Model One pickup, passive electronics, a brass bridge, and gold Gotoh tuners. With its natural oil finish highlighting the striking grain of the walnut, this highly collectible, 34-inch scale bass offers a direct, powerful voice that serves as a profound homage to the earliest era of Spector basses.
