Electra Japan X330 MPC (Modular Powered Circuit) Electric Guitar Late 1970s Cherry Sunburst w/Effects Modules, Hard Case
This increasingly rare late 1970s Electra X330 MPC "MPC" (Modular Powered Circuit) guitar is a striking example of Japanese "lawsuit-era" craftsmanship, famously built at the Matsumoku factory. Finished in a vibrant cherry sunburst, this Les Paul-style instrument features a solid mahogany body with a carved maple top and a distinctive "wave" headstock. Its defining innovation lies in the two rear-mounted expansion bays, which allow players to plug in modular effect cartridges—such as phasers, flangers, or fuzz—directly into the guitar’s internal circuitry. With its high-output "Magnaflux" humbuckers and solid sustain, the X330 remains a cult favorite for its unique blend of classic aesthetics and quirky, onboard analog technology.
Notes:
This Late 1970s Electra Japan X330 MPC (Modular Powered Circuit) Electric Guitar is in Very Good condition, part of a climate controlled collection, with light visible wear (pictured) consistent with age and appropriate use. Includes original fitted hard case and effects modules: dynamic fuzz, power overdrive, phaser, flanger.
