The Ibanez AZ2204AG brings the AZ Prestige approach into a more traditional pickup layout while keeping the modern feel the series is known for. Built in Japan, this solid body 6-string electric guitar pairs an ash body with an S-Tech roasted maple neck and fretboard for a bright, articulate response with plenty of sustain. A 25.5" scale length keeps the feel familiar, while 22 jumbo stainless steel frets sit on a 12" radius for smooth movement across the neck. Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups in an SSH configuration run through the dyna-MIX9 switching system, controlled by a master volume, master tone, a 5-way selector, and an Alter Switch that reconfigures the pickups to unlock additional humbucker and single-coil-style sounds, making the AZ2204AG easy to adapt for stage or studio work.
