Beyond instantly recognizable with its iconic symmetrical violin profile and still inspiringly lightweight spruce/maple construction and hollowbody resonance, this remarkably gently aged 1965 Hofner 500/1 Violin (Beatle) Bass absolutely comes alive once plugged-in, from its eminently playable 30" scale length and 42mm nut to its intuitive controls and balanced, round tone. 1965 saw one of the most stage-ready iterations of the 500/1, and this one is every bit the prime example, from its full body and rosewood fingerboard binding to its raised logo and pearloid pickguard and enlarged control panel. Notes:
This 1965 Hofner 500/1 Violin (Beatle) Bass is in Excellent condition, purchased in Germany as part of a single-owner, climate controlled collection, with extremely light wear consistent with age and occasional home use (pictured).
