Gibson HG-00 Adirondack Spruce/Mahogany Acoustic 1940 Sunburst w/Chipboard Case
Increasingly sought after for its fingerstyle-friendly 1 7/8" nut width and confident rounded "V" neck profile, this X-braced 1940 Gibson HG-00 packs a notorious amount of saturated, balanced, crisp resonance beneath its beautifully aged sunburst Adirondack spruce top and double-bound mahogany back and sides. Originally intended as Hawaiian guitars with high nuts for slide playing, HG models have been professionally converted for decades for standard use, renowned for their eminently playable 24.75" scale length and instantly familiar rosewood fingerboards. From studio to live sessions, this remarkably preserved 1940 HG-00 is finally ready to leave home for the first time.
Notes: This 1940 Gibson HG-00 Adirondack Spruce/Mahogany Acoustic is in Excellent condition, part of a single-owner, climate controlled collection, with very light surface wear (pictured) consistent with age and appropriate home use, most prominently at treble side of soundhole. Professionally converted with replaced nut and bridge adjustment, likely early in instrument's life. No structural repairs, cracks, or impacts present.
