Quickly recognizable by its increasingly rare "logo only" headstock decal, this 1966 Fender Mustang Bass is one of the earliest production runs of the now iconic Leo Fender-designed offset short-scale. Originally Dakota Red, this Mustang Bass was professionally stripped and refinished decades ago in a refined satin walnut stain, allowing its alder grain to breathe and shine-through onstage.
Low, even action across a distractingly playable 30" scale rosewood fingerboard and original, fully functional electronics make this Mustang Bass a serious find for warming-up any session, delivering exactly the articulate, saturated "thump" we're looking for in a bass that's seen its share of studio work.

This 1966 Fender Mustang Bass Walnut Stain Refin is in Very Good condition, part of a single owner, climate-controlled collection, with very light surface wear (pictured), consistent with age and occasional home use. Includes original hard case, leather strap has torn over time. Does not include finger rest.
