The 1959 Stratocaster with a AAA rosewood fingerboard imbued an already sleek, comfort contoured seasoned player's instrument with a distinctive warm, sustaining tonal character. The Custom Shop Limited Edition '59 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic Aged Black represents what would have been a fairly rare 1959 model, with a rift sawn maple neck and several seamless modern customizations. The select alder body features a tastefully worn-in Relic Aged Black lacquer finish, while the neck has an instantly familiar '60s Oval C profile, 9.5” fingerboard radius and 21 frets.
Custom Shop Handwound Single-coil pickups are hooked up to a five-way switch and modern Stratocaster wiring, which retains mid-range when rolling off highs. Other features include a single-ply pickguard, traditional era-correct bridge with Relic finish, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut, and wing string tree. Also includes deluxe hardshell case, accessories, and certificate of authenticity.
