Fender American Vintage (AVRI) '62 Stratocaster 2005 3-Color Sunburst w/Fender Molded Hard Case
One of the most popular instruments in history, the Fender Stratocaster—first introduced in 1954—is certainly the most imitated electric guitar ever. 1962 was another watershed year for the instrument. The culmination of five more years of tweaking—resulting in small but important changes—the '62 sports a three-color sunburst along with a "round lam" rosewood fingerboard, three-ply aged "mint green" pickguard and those great-sounding '57/'62 pickups.
Three-color sunburst lacquer finish over a "comfort contoured" alder body
Three new American Vintage Strat single coil pickups with beveled magnets
One-piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with classic "C" shape and lacquer finish
This 2005 Fender American Vintage '62 Stratocaster is in Excellent condition, part of a single-owner, climate controlled collection, with extremely light wear (pictured) consistent with nearly 20 year age and only the most occasional home use. Includes Fender molded hard case. Does not include "ashtray" tremolo cover or original materials.
