Conrad Japan 40170 Hollow Body Electric Guitar Early 1970s 3-Color Sunburst w/Humbucker Pickups
A beautifully vibey, well-loved, and most importantly *played* Japan-crafted Conrad hollow body, this uncommon single-cut 40170 still delivers low, even action across the fingerboard, quiet and intuitive electronics, and seriously tour-ready looks. With its original lower output pickups professionally replaced with twin humbuckers, we're getting some Gibson/Gretsch vibes with this Conrad's remarkably warm, balanced output—at a price that won't make you hesitate to bring this vintage hollow body to every session.
This Early 1970s Conrad Japan 40170 Hollow Body Electric Guitar is in Very Good condition, part of a climate-controlled collection, with very light visible wear consistent with approximately 50 year age and appropriate use. Original low-output pickups professionally replaced with modern humbuckers, unknown brand but sound balanced and saturated—likely Epiphone or similar. Grover tuners installed at some point early in this instrument's life, fully functional and firmly installed. Does not include case.
